Frank was educated at Milsons Point Public School. His occupation was Stereo Electro Typer (he served 3 years apprenticeship with Henry Paul in Sydney) and Farmer when he enlisted in August 1914 at Rosebery Park in Sydney and served in the 1st Battalion Australian Light Horse.

Frank states he was 30 years old at time of enlistment, birth records show he would have been 33 years old.

At the time of his enlistment he was serving in the 9th Light Horse at Camden. He departed Sydney on the 'Star of Victoria' 20th October 1914.

Lance Sergeant Frank Henderson PAUL was killed in action 22 May 1915 at Gallipoli, Turkey, age 34.
